Confession Can Diminish The Power of Sin

Confession is a good thing. When we admit our sins to someone (it doesn’t have to be a professional minister) we end the self-deception that is often a part of wrong-doing. Also, we take the matter out of the shadows and bring it into the light. This often greatly diminishes the power and hold over us that a particular sin may have. Also—if we confess to a mature person—we experience love, acceptance, & grace.
