Can your view of reality accommodate the power of God?

Update on the medical procedure

Some of you know that I had a routine medical procedure today and several folks have requested that I provide an update.

Fortunately, all is well. The procedure went perfectly. The medical team was stellar!

The doctor told me this is what the test revealed:

1.  No signs of physical problems;
2.  I, possibly, talk a little too much;
3.  Plastic surgery could help…perhaps just a little tightening here and there; and
4.  Trimming the eyebrows doesn’t take that long but would be very beneficial.

I felt the doctor’s conclusions were needlessly broad; covered non-medical areas; and could have been expressed a little more diplomatically. But I was just glad to be able to wrap it up, go, and get something to eat.

Thank you to all for your prayers! They were, and are, greatly appreciated. God is loving, kind, generous and gracious to me.

I will be undergoing a medical test...

I will be undergoing a medical test tomorrow. It’s a routine test. I’m fine. There isn’t a problem. But it is one of those tests for which the preparation, today, is really the unpleasant part of the process. The test, tomorrow, will be easy. As a matter of fact, I’m hoping to be comfortably asleep for most of the actual test. (Sort of like the academic tests I took in high school.)

Today, however, is objectionable.
Today is displeasing.
Today is quite undesirable.

I won’t go into any further details…because I have the utmost love, sensitivity and respect for all of you!

For today, though, I’m keeping this verse in mind…

“…[W]eeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

Psalm 30:5, KJV

It must be Friday!

Ohhhh...it must be Friday because...
1. I'm at Taco Bell.
2. People are smiling more than usual.
3. I am providing some of my sharpest, wittiest conversation.
4. Rachel is fast asleep.
5. I'm realizing, once again, my conversation is not that witty, after all.
Yep, it happens every Friday! ðŸ˜„

"To church you must go...yes!"

Let your light shine!

Will we survive?

For a while Rachel and I were the only customers in this restaurant. Recently, two other customers arrived.
Part of me says, "You probably ought to get up and get out of here, if you know what's good for you."
Another part of me says, "Give it a try and see what happens."
...So, we're going to stay. And in the meantime I'll let you know if we wind up with some type of significant gastrointestinal distress. ðŸ˜€ Lol!
