The “heart” in biblical usage is basically the essence of who we are, it’s been called the “executive center” of the self. It is important for us to be watchful and intentional and careful about the things to which we expose our hearts [our “selves”]. Prov. 4:23 puts it this way: “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Are you “GUARDING” your heart?
