John Calvin wrote: “True and substantial wisdom principally consists of two parts, the knowledge of God, and the knowledge of ourselves.” For those of us who follow Christ, this is one of the constant and on-going pursuits of our lives: knowing God more and more and knowing ourselves more and more. Rightly understood, these two pursuits complement and encourage each other.
