When you say, “Yes, Lord” you’ve put your “hand to the plow”. (This is Jesus’ imagery.) Putting your hand to the plow means you’re ready to get to work—actually, it means you have begun the work. You are saying, “I’m with you Lord, I’m ready to do your will.” Jesus expects those who put their hand to the plow, to continue—with His help—to do the work of the Kingdom.
