It's A Time Of Incredible Opportunity

It is estimated that a billion people participate in on-line social networks. That’s about one-fifth of the planet. There has never been a time in all of human history when people have been connected in this way. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” – Jesus

It's exciting to be able to reach alot of people at once (even if it is just limited to your friends list). Even if they aren't interested, at some point you may make them think. It's worth it to keep trying. It's also a great feeling when you post something - a verse or encouragement (or both!) and you hear back from someone that they really needed to hear that at that moment. When timing happens like that I think "It must be a God thing." :)

One of the aspects of the social networking that I like is the way that it is designed to facilitate interaction. I agree, Mary, the comments can be very interesting and gratifying and very encouraging.
