Here’s a line I read yesterday: “…[T]he first task of love is to tell the truth.” –Albert J. Mohler. It is not loving to “blow smoke” at people and tell them things that will make them feel comfortable if they are doing something wrong or hurtful. Love speaks the truth, it does so humbly, gently, and sincerely.
