The Importance of Touch

“Touch” is an important form of communication and it is an important way of communicating love. We’re not talking here of sexual touch but of something like a hug, or an encouraging hand on the shoulder. Babies who are not touched fail to thrive. Seniors in nursing homes who are not touched fail to thrive. We all need others in this physical sense. It is a form of loving connection.
