“Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another….” Rom.13:8 [NLT] The Bible speaks of love as an “obligation”. But, hold on. An “obligation” does not have to be negative. It’s possible for something to be necessary for us to do and yet also be good and positive and wonderfully fulfilling. Loving others is actually a pretty good obligation, if you think about it.
