How can we possibly pay attention to God when we are inundated with messages, all day long, in a culture like ours? It’s hard, isn’t it? This is why those with spiritual depth tell us: Go some place quiet, regularly, and get away from the calls, images, e-mails, commercials—yes, the online activity, too—and be still and listen for God.
