It’s impossible to see ourselves with complete
objectivity. That’s why it’s helpful to
have a loving, honest, insightful friend or coach give feedback. (It’s also nice if the feedback was requested
rather than being unsolicited.

The Way In Which We Receive Difficult Truths
When we are confronted with truth about ourselves that we
might not be too happy to hear or acknowledge, the way we receive that truth
says a lot about our level of maturity.
