Jesus of course was never in any sense a Christian. He was always and only a Jew.
He was an outsider, a radical Spiritual Teacher who appeared and taught on the margins of the tradition of Judaism as it was in his time and place.
While he was alive he taught and demonstrated a radical, universal, non-Christian, non-sectarian Spirit-Breathing Spiritual Way of Life.
Such a Spirit-Breathing Way has always been the basic practice of all forms of esoteric Spiritual Religion in all times and places, including today.
The Greek word pneuma means Spirit-Energy.
Furthermore Jesus did not, and could not create any of the tradition about him, namely Christianity. ALL of which was created after he died, mostly long after, and by people who never ever met him up close and personal in a living-breathing-feeling human form.
Jesus certainly could not have created any of the "death-and-resurrection" drama that became the centre-pole of the Christian belief system. Corpses are incapable of creating anything - havent you noticed.
