When we worship God, we enter into an attitude and a mental
posture that reflects reality. Occasionally,
I’ve heard people say, “I’m doing what I was created to do!” This would be true when it comes to
worshiping God. When we honor Him and
give Him reverence, when we speak praises to Him and about Him, when we bow in
humble submission before Him, we are doing what we were created to do.
This blog contains comments and teaching regarding living the Christian faith and comments on the intersection of faith and many other aspects of life from pop culture to science. It also has some stories--hopefully they are amusing stories--from my life. ~Dan

Gathering For Worship
There’s a spiritual experience that we can have when we
gather with other believers that we cannot have by ourselves. The gathered-together experience has to do
with encouragement, support, speaking into each others lives, and seeing God in
others, among other things. I look forward to that shared spiritual experience
today, worshiping God with people I love!

Acknowledging The Really Powerful Agent
Some people would like for us to believe that the blind, random, forces of a purely materialistic universe somehow produced what we experience as consciousness. That seems absurd to me. It seems to me that the miracle we call consciousness could only be produced by a very powerful conscious Agent. We’ll be worshiping that Agent at church this morning…. It only seems right.
