Mercy happens when a person deserves some consequence—for example, punishment for doing wrong—and yet goodness, forgiveness & kindness is extended to the person instead. It’s very difficult to extend mercy to anyone unless we have been the recipient of mercy. Fortunately, anyone who walks with Christ has been shown mercy. So, let’s be merciful.
