We Extend Grace Because We Are Recipients of Grace

Because grace, by definition, is extended to a person without the person deserving it, we can sometimes feel foolish extending grace.  “Maybe I’m being played for a fool,” we might think. This is why it is important for us to understand that we are extending grace because we have, ourselves, first been recipients of grace.
