It is
helpful to know that Jesus is always talking about real life. When we read or
hear about the ideas He expressed; the challenges He issued; the truths He
spoke understand that He means for these things to be lived. He is never, ever,
talking about empty religious theories. He is always talking about being alive
in God’s kingdom right here and right now!
This blog contains comments and teaching regarding living the Christian faith and comments on the intersection of faith and many other aspects of life from pop culture to science. It also has some stories--hopefully they are amusing stories--from my life. ~Dan

Do We Trust Jesus?
Jesus says that the life we’re looking for—real life—is not
found in our schemes, ideas, and restless strivings, rather, life is found in
dying to self and surrendering to him. “For
whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me
will find it.” –Jesus, Matt.16:25. The
question this challenge forces us to wrestle with is: Do we really trust Jesus?

Coming Alive Spiritually
When a person is “born again”, it means that the person has come alive spiritually. A movement from spiritual death to spiritual life has happened. We don’t expect to immediately see complete change in every area of the person’s life, however we should see some affects from this authentic spiritual rebirth. We will see the very real influence of Jesus.
