The challenges, pursuits and
responsibilities of life can be relentless in such a way that we may neglect
what is of ultimate importance. Jesus
was expressing a related thought when He said, “What good is it for a man to
gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?” Mark 8:36. All the pursuits of
life do not have the same level of importance or value. Let’s remember to give
care and attention to the nourishment of our soul.
This blog contains comments and teaching regarding living the Christian faith and comments on the intersection of faith and many other aspects of life from pop culture to science. It also has some stories--hopefully they are amusing stories--from my life. ~Dan

Don't Chase Money And Neglect Your Soul
We, obviously, need money to get along in this world. No one denies that reality. But it would be both sad and foolish for a
person to accumulate great material wealth and, in the process, end up
neglecting God. “What good is it for a
man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?” Mark 8:36.
