“What does it mean to love someone? To most people love is a feeling, an emotion. But the Greek word agapao (or agape) refers not to a feeling but to an action. To love (agapao) is to will the good of another….Will their good and demonstrate in action.”~James Bryan Smith. When we love each other God’s way, it can be seen in our actions toward each other.
This blog contains comments and teaching regarding living the Christian faith and comments on the intersection of faith and many other aspects of life from pop culture to science. It also has some stories--hopefully they are amusing stories--from my life. ~Dan

Avoiding Gossip Is A Significant Act Of Love

The Christian faith is about loving, encouraging and building up others. So, avoiding gossip—which can be challenging—is a significant act of love toward others.

That would be cool—and very worthwhile—wouldn’t it?

Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday, And Worry....What?
“Today is the tomorrow that we worried about yesterday…” [James Bryan Smith] And did you notice that worrying about today, yesterday, accomplished nothing productive? Yep! That’s why Jesus said this: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matt.6:34. Then what should we do? Jesus’ answer: Seek God’s kingdom.
