This blog contains comments and teaching regarding living the Christian faith and comments on the intersection of faith and many other aspects of life from pop culture to science. It also has some stories--hopefully they are amusing stories--from my life. ~Dan

God Uses All Kinds of People
All over the world today people will stand and
preach messages proclaiming the truth of God’s word. Occasionally I still feel
surprised and puzzled that I would be one of the people serving God in this
way.
Every now and then I sort of expect someone to tap
me on the shoulder and say, “Okay, you can sit down. That was hilarious but the
joke is over now.”
In the Bible God expresses this thought, “…my power
is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
God uses all kinds of people… even weak people, even
people no one would expect.
God has a terrific sense of humor.

My Weakness And God's Strength
It’s very difficult for me to come to grips with this
reality, however, the strange truth is that my weaknesses are exactly the
places in my life where the power of God can be most brilliantly and
effectively displayed. God told Paul,
“My grace is all you need. My power
works best in weakness.” 2Cor. 12:9.
