Some of us are, by
nature, very strong and responsible and we expend tremendous effort attempting
to make sure things in life go well for ourselves and others. This can be good,
up to a certain point.
But occasionally the
strong, dependable, responsible types may try to take on more than they can
handle. They may try to fix things they cannot fix. They may take on worries and
burdens they do not need to carry.
I’ve discovered that
even strong, dependable, responsible types can crash trying to do more than
they are called to do.
So occasionally, the
strong, dependable, responsible types need to be reminded of this: It’s not your job to fix all the problems of
the world. It is not your job to make everyone happy and satisfied. You are not
God and God is not expecting you to be God.
Do what you have
been called to do. That’s enough.
