People who regularly help those who are needy sometimes
discover that they do not receive satisfying responses of gratitude and
appreciation from the ones they are helping.
Occasionally, this may happen because those who are being helped might
not know how to express those types of feelings effectively.
If this occurs it is important to remember that we don’t
serve others in order to get verbal rewards from those we are helping. We serve others because we have been lovingly
served. Our serving is a grateful
response to Jesus, acknowledging what He has done for us.
