Most of us have had the unsettling experience of getting something that we desperately wanted only to find that the experience was sort of empty. If we’re paying attention and thinking honestly and reflectively we will recognize this as an important clue that our needs go beyond the temporary and transient things of this world and reach to something greater—something transcendent. We really do NEED God.
