Part of why I trust and respect the Bible is that I’ve
noticed it has this uncanny way of capturing the truth about who I am. In fact,
sometimes it reminds me of some truths about “who I am” even when I’m not in
the mood to encounter the truth about who I am. (…Gee, it’s hard to imagine that I wouldn’t
want to clearly see some truths about myself, huh?)
