Restoration and Healing of a Broken Relationship Requires Both Parties

If a relationship is broken, one of the parties can honestly offer forgiveness from his/her heart even if the other party is unwilling to participate in the process. However, restoration of the relationship cannot occur if only one party is willing to participate in the process.

We can put it this way: It is possible for forgiveness to be offered with only one party participating, however, restoration and healing will require both parties to be involved.

When Our Souls Are Wounded

Hurts can happen in life that deeply wound our souls.  When this occurs, the path toward healing will involve acknowledging the brokenness as well as relational reconciliation and forgiveness.  But one of the most important aspects of healing involves intimacy with God.

I Once Was Blind And Now I See

Jesus healed a blind man and, later, the man was asked, by the Pharisees, to explain what in the world happened and how it happened. The man explained as best he could but the Pharisees wanted more. After they badgered the man for a while he finally said, “Look, all I know is this: I once was blind and now I can see!” Hmm, actually that’s the story of every follower of Jesus. I once was blind and now I see.

E-Flash From Dan, May 17, 2012

Dear E-Flash Friends;

When the surgeon came into our waiting room with a smile on his face, we had a good feeling.  The surgeon told us that the procedure was successful.  A patch had been attached to Art’s heart and we have cause for optimism.  We are all keenly aware that the situation is still serious but we are joyful and a collective sigh of relief could be felt in the room.

After speaking with the surgeon for a few minutes, we all gathered in a large circle, held hands, and offered a prayer of thanks to God.

Many of you have prayed for our brother in Christ, Art Serenas.  Thank you for doing so.  Art’s family is grateful for your loving thoughts and prayers.  I am, too!

Again, Art’s situation is still serious.  We ask that you would please continue to pray.  But we are hopeful and praise God for good, encouraging progress!

Praise God!

Blessings,

Dan
