“The first thing that God has to do to save us is get us to be quiet.” –Michael Horton. Horton suggests that we do too much rationalizing and defending of ourselves. The idea is that we need to be quiet, stop making excuses and accept the truth about ourselves that is revealed through God’s word. …Hmm, “be quiet”, huh? That one hits close to home for me.
