It is strange to think about the Creator entering
into His own creation.
Why do this?
Why not just let us duke it out here on this
spinning ball and live with the consequences of our own decisions and actions?
Christmas helps us understand He really does care
about us. We matter enough that He set aside His divine privileges and entered
into the fray.
“‘And she will have a son, and you are to name him
Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.’
All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message
through his prophet:
‘Look! The virgin will conceive a child!
She will give birth to a son,
and they will call him Immanuel,
She will give birth to a son,
and they will call him Immanuel,
which means ‘God is with us.’”
Matthew 1:21-23
