We went
to the giant flea market in Fort Myers today.
Immediately upon entering the gates of the flea market, my father-in-law
entered into a tough negotiation with a lady who owns one of the produce
stands. For my father-in-law and the
produce lady the negotiation was tough, crucial and even slightly testy, at
times.
For me,
the essence of the negotiation involved my bewilderment at the fact that they
were putting this much effort into a disagreement involving 50 cents.
Fortunately,
a nearby vendor offered deep fried Oreos—which I had never tried before—so, I
was able to quietly sidle away from the negotiation and direct my attention to
truly important matters.
